Separate Beef Recalls Announced

California-based Fieldsource Food Systems Inc. has recalled about 13,000 pounds of diced beef and chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The company says the product contain wheat, a known allergen, but is not declared on the product label.

The uncooked, marinated, diced beef and chicken cubes were produced from June 9 through July 10, 2019 were packaged in 20-pound boxes containing four unmarked 5-pound plastic bags. The beef variety was marked as "Fieldsorce Food Systems, Inc. Northgate Market Marinated Beef Cubes" and have lot codes 061019 through 071019. The chicken variety were marked as "Fieldsource Food Systems, Inc. Northgate Market Marinated Chicken Cubes" and have lot codes 061019 through 071019.

The products were shipped to grocery stores in California and used behind the deli counter, but it is not sold raw to customers.

In a separate recall, Ada Valley Gourmet Foods Inc. have recalled about 3,500 pounds of raw ground beef meatloaf from hospitals in three states due contamination of bits of metal in it.

The recalled product is 5-pound frozen vacuum packages packed 2 each in cartons containing "Ada Valley Meatloaf Uncooked" with lot code 17034 and a packaging date of 05-20-19 represented on the label.

The frozen, premixed raw ground beef meatloaf was produced on May 20 and were shipped to hospitals in Arizona, California, and Nevada.

The problem was discovered on July 11, 2019, when a customer notified the plant of the problem.
