Cardi B has called on her fans to support more female MCs who are rapping about topics other than sex.

The rap singer's call was in apparent response to Jermaine Dupri's negative comments about the new wave of female rappers.

In a recent interview with People TV, a few names, including that of Cardi B, were thrown at the hip-hop veteran to name his favorite female MC.

"I can't really say. The only reason why I can't say is because I feel they're all rapping about the same things," he told the host. "For me, it's like strippers rapping and as far as rap goes I'm not getting who's the best."

In a video posted on Instagram, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper said, "There's a lot of female rappers who be rapping they ass off and don't be talking about their p---y and don't be talking about getting down on dirty and y'all don't be supporting them. So don't blame that shit on us, when y'all not the ones supporting them.".

Cardi B named a few new generation rappers, such as Tierra Whack, Rapsody, and Kamaiyah, who in her opinion deserve support.
