Rémy Cointreau Q1 Revenue Down 3.0% On Organic Basis - Quick Facts

Rémy Cointreau (RCO.PA) reported first-quarter revenue of 223.2 million euros, up 0.4% on a reported basis. On an organic basis, revenue fell 3.0%, during the period. Group brands recorded sales of 216.5 million euros, an increase of 7% on a reported basis. Organic growth at Group brands was 3.3%, for the period.

For the first-quarter, Partner Brands recorded a 66.6% decline in revenue in organic terms, with the termination of distribution contracts in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United States.

Looking forward, Rémy Cointreau expects that fiscal 2019/20 will unfold within the framework of the Group's medium-term objectives.

The National Labor Relations Board ruled in favor of McDonald's in a long-running case filed by workers who accused the fast-food giant of retaliation after they tried to unionize. The lawsuit, filed by 20 employees against McDonald's and some of its franchise operators in 2015. The lawsuit was seeking a ruling that would consider McDonald's a 'joint employer' with its franchisees. It will be available at all major national retailers beginning in April next year.
