Avenged Sevenfold Frontman Talks Getting Playable Character In 'Call Of Duty'

Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows was excited to see himself as a playable character in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Shadows would appear as a playable character in the game's "Blackout" mode with the launch of the "Operation Apocalypse Z" update on July 9.

"I'm a huge gamer. I totally get a kick out of it. My kids get a kick out of it — something they can actually relate to," Shadows revealed.

However, Shadows admits his feelings got a little bit hurt when his wife said the character is better looking than he is in real life.

"I wasn't sure if they were gonna use the model from 'Black Ops 2', but I was hoping they were gonna upgrade and do a new model," Shadows said. "There have been some changes. I look a little different.

"I feel like the technology has gotten better, so I was excited when I learned I was gonna go down and redo the motion capture," he added. "They did the body scans, took pictures of all my tattoos [and] really got it down. And then I went back."
