Punk icon Iggy Pop has shared the tracklist of his upcoming album, Free, which is slated to be released on September 12 via Loma Vista Recordings.

Described as having "nothing in common sonically with its predecessor -- or with any other Iggy Pop album," in a recent press release, the 10-track collection features collaborations with the trumpeter Leron Thomas and solo guitar project Noveller by Sarah Lipstate.

"By the end of the tours following Post Pop Depression, I felt sure that I had rid myself of the problem of chronic insecurity that had dogged my life and career for too long," said the 77-year-old star.

"I know that's an illusion, and that freedom is only something you feel, but I have lived my life thus far in the belief that that feeling is all that is worth pursuing; all that you need -- not happiness or love necessarily, but the feeling of being free," Pop added. "So this album just kind of happened to me, and I let it happen."

Having released the title track from the album, the singer is also looking forward to releasing a book of lyrics, "'Til Wrong Feel Right" later this fall.

Tracklist:

Free
Loves Missing
Sonali
James Bond
Dirty Sanchez
Glow in the Dark
