Credence Clearwater Revived have premiered the live audio of "Proud Mary" from their performance at Woodstock in 1969.

Premiered via Billboard, the song is one among the 11-track setlist that the band performed at the festival and will be featured on an upcoming Live at Woodstock album.

Billboard noted CCR has been glaringly absent from all documents about Woodstock, including the Academy Award-winning documentary released the following year

"We weren't in the movie on purpose," frontman Jean Fogerty told Billboard. "Nobody really understood what the movie would be. The track they wanted to use was 'Bad Moon Rising;' I just didn't feel it was our best work."

"Maybe around the late '80s I began to think that, historically, it is what it is," he added. "It doesn't matter if it's well done or not well done, it became more a fact of history. Therefore nobody was hurt by it. It was just history."
