Lifetime entertainment channel has announced a follow-up to the docu-series "Surviving R. Kelly."

The news was announced by Rob Sharenow, president of programming for A+E Networks.

Spread across four episodes, "Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath" will feature interviews with new victims, psychologists and experts on the legal battle.

R&B star R. Kelly was accused by multiple women of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia in the documentary series, which was broadcast from January 3 to 5 on Lifetime.

Over 12 million people have now seen the documentary, which won the 2019 LA Press Club President's Award for Impact on Media and was nominated for an Emmy.

Kelly is mired in multiple legal battles after four women raised sexual abuse allegations against him.

Forbidden from making contact with females younger than 18, the singer is awaiting trial on several sexual abuse charges, some of which have been ongoing for more than a decade.
