Harsco Slashes FY19 Outlook - Quick Facts

While reporting financial results for the second quarter, Harsco Corp. (HSC) on Wednesday lowered its earnings and adjusted earnings guidance for the full-year 2019, and initiated guidance for the third quarter.

The company's full year outlook now incorporates Clean Earth for the second-half of the year and includes Harsco Industrial for only the first-half of 2019.

For fiscal 2019, the company now expects earnings in a range of $0.89 to $1.02 per share and adjusted earnings in the range of $1.38 to $1.51 per share.

Previously, the company projected earnings in the range of $1.15 to $1.33 per share and adjusted earnings in the range of $1.44 to $1.61 per share.

On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $1.39 per share for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the third quarter, the company expects earnings in the range of $0.24 to $0.30 per share and adjusted earnings in the range of $0.35 to $0.41 per share. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $0.38 per share for the quarter.
