Tool has topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart dated August 17, the first time the alternative metal band has become the top musical act in the U.S., helped by release of their whole discography on digital and streaming services.

The band's four albums entered Billboard's 200 Chart after its full catalog was made available on digital and streaming services.

Ænima currently sits at No. 10 on the 200 chart, Lateralus is at No. 16, 10,000 Days is at No. 18 and Undertow is at No. 19.

Meanwhile, Ænima landed at No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart with 33,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Billboard.

Tool's 2001 album Lateralus came in at No. 2 with 27,000 units, while 10,000 Days was at No. 4 with 24,000 units. Tool's 1993 record Undertow rounded out the top five at No. 5 with 23,000 units.

Fear Inoculum, Tool's follow-up 10,000 Days, is set to release on August 30. The album's title track debuted at No. 93 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first 10-minute song in history to hit the chart.
