Taylor Swift has shared the title track from her new album, Lover, a week ahead of the record's release.

Swift had already released three tracks from the album - "ME!," "You Need to Calm Down," and "The Archer."

"New song "Lover" is out tonight at midnight eastern! The music video will premiere after a very exciting YouTube Live situation on August 22 at 5pm eastern," she wrote on Twitter.

Taylor will release her seventh studio album through her new label Republic on August 23.

The singer will perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards three days later.

Swift, 29, sings about love on the track, inspired by her romance with boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

"I've loved you three summers now, honey / But I want them all," she sings.
