Alcon Announces U.S. Launch Of PRECISION1 Daily Disposable Contact Lenses

Alcon (ALC) said it will release the PRECISION1 daily disposable, silicone hydrogel contact lenses in the U.S. PRECISION1 is the first contact lens with the company's SMARTSURFACE technology. It is designed to provide lasting visual performance for patients. The company expects initial U.S. launch of PRECISION1 in September, and the product will become widely available across the U.S. in early 2020.

Earlier in the current year, Alcon released PRECISION1 contact lenses in Australia and New Zealand. The company plans to launch the lenses in additional markets in the next two years.
