Cannibble Food-Tech Launches Cannabis-infused Edibles In U.S.

Cannibble Food-Tech Ltd., an Israel-based food-tech developer of cannabis-based edibles, announced the launch of its "The Pelicann" brand in the U.S.

Cannibble a developer of cannabis-infused food, beverages, nutritional supplements and spices, said it is targeting the U.S. first as it is the biggest cannabis market worldwide. The Pelicann products will be manufactured in the U.S.

The Pelicann powder-based mixes are enhanced with cannabinoids and hemp products. The products are proposed for personal use with 'single-serve' packages as well as for kiosks and convenience stores with instant servings of prepared products.

These can be used by the consumer to quickly make freshly-made cupcakes, shakes, flavored popcorn and other food items.

"We have invested almost two years of substantial R&D and we are bringing to the market completely, unseen before and non-existent today, new lines of Cannabinoids infused powder-mix based edibles and beverages, which are tasty and fun for all food lovers," Cannibble's CTO and Chef Elad Barkan, said.

The Pelicann products are offered in "three families of cannabis", easy to spot by unique colors and carrying all types of cannabis ingredients.

Green color is used to identify products carrying ingredients like Hemp seeds, Hemp seeds oils and Hemp protein; while pink color is for products will full-spectrum CBD to isolated CBD, and Blue color for THC-infused products.

All the Pelicann products are manufactured under strict Food manufacturing QA protocols and with a known, tested and fixed cannabinoids dosage, Cannibble noted.

According to the company, the cannabis edibles market is the most booming segment of the recreational cannabis market in the past three years. Edibles are intended to address consumers of all legal ages, compared to smoking that covers only 20 to 25 percent of users.

According to a market research report by Zion Market Research, the global cannabis edibles market was valued at about $2.38 billion in 2018 and is expected to generate around $11.56 billion by 2025.
