Tapestry To Grow Brands In China With Retail Partnership With Alibaba's Tmall

Tapestry, Inc. (TPR) announced a new step in the company's ChinaNext digital innovation agenda with the strategic partnership with Alibaba's Tmall, a B2C ecommerce platform. Tapestry will feature in the Flagship Store 2.0 of Tmall, beginning later this month. Also, the Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman brands will have flagship stores on Tmall Luxury Pavilion.

Jide Zeitlin, CEO of Tapestry, said, "Tmall is at the forefront of the fast-paced digital eco-system in China. We look forward to growing our brands in China with this important new retail partnership, and are excited to launch our brand flagships on Tmall's newest platform."

Panera Bread Co. is launching a new subscription program that will allow customers to drink unlimited coffee and tea. The new program of $8.99 per month launches Thursday and covers hot coffee, iced coffee and hot tea. With the introduction of the subscription, Panera becomes the first national restaurant company to offer unlimited hot drip coffee, iced coffee and hot tea for $8.99 per month. Best Buy Co. Inc. Safavieh LLC recalled about 760 units of Aura and Silas 3-Drawer Chests for possible serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement. The company said the chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall.
