Tool is back at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, with their fifth LP and the first in 13 years, Fear Inoculum, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated September 14.

Fear Inoculum hit the top spot, logging 270,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.

Tool previously hit No. 1 on the Artist 100 four weeks ago, after its catalog was made available on streaming and digital services for the first time.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity, considering key metrics such as album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction.

The new album is Tool's third Billboard 200 No. 1. It launched with the biggest one-week total for a rock album, in units as well as album sales, surging past Dave Matthews Band's 2018 hit Come Tomorrow.

Tool is the seventh band to have spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100. With four weeks at the top, the band ties with Twenty One Pilots. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Queen spent three weeks at the top, while Bon Jovi, Linkin Park and Mumford & Sons stayed on top for two weeks each.
