Rapper Lil Wayne canceled his performance with Blink-182 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis last Saturday night after he was "kicked out" of the Ritz Carlton hotel.

"Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik'd out the ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide. Tht y'all f w me out here. Dam slime. It's all luv tho," Wayne tweeted.

However, according to CNN affiliate KMOV, the Clayton Police Department said that Lil Wayne and his crew were not kicked out but left voluntarily.

Police officials said they received a report of a disturbance between hotel staff and the rapper's entourage. The disturbance was related to complaints about the smell of marijuana coming from the rapper's hotel room.

Hotel staff had reportedly asked Weezy and his squad to open the balcony door for some ventilation, but the rapper was not happy to oblige with the request and started arguing with hotel staff.

Police said that Lil Wayne and his entourage were in the hotel lobby "being argumentative" when officers arrived. Officers reportedly mediated the dispute and Lil Wayne and his crew eventually left the hotel.

Lil Wayne was scheduled to perform at the city's Live Nation-operated Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. The venue later confirmed on Twitter that the rapper would not perform and noted that Blink-182 was still scheduled to appear.
