The soundtrack for the highly-anticipated, upcoming PlayStation 4 video game, "Death Stranding," is set to feature 8 brand-new original tracks ranging across various genres from Synth-Pop to Metalcore & EDM.

Envisioned and directed by the extremely popular Japanese video game designer, Hideo Kojima, the action-adventure game seeks to make the players "understand the true importance of forging connections with others," Kojima said.

Centered around the main character of Sam Porter Bridges, Kojima said the gameplay involves the bridging of "divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or 'Strands' with other players around the globe," where the goal of the player is to "reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society."

Titled Death Stranding: Timefall, the compilation album of songs used in the game's soundtrack includes songs by Major Lazer & Khalid ("Trigger"), Bring Me the Horizon ("Ludens") and Chvrches ("Death Stranding"), among others.

The album is slated for release on November 7, the day before the official release of the game itself.
