'Memories' Earns Maroon 5 15th Consecutive Top 40 Single

Maroon 5's new single "Memories" debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated October 5, giving the band its 15th consecutive entry into the top 40.

Each of Maroon 5's radio-promoted singles have reached the top 40 since "Moves Like Jagger" in 2011.

Overall, the track marks Maroon 5's 22nd trip to the top 40 list. It is the group's 30th Hot 100 entry.

"Memories" is Maroon 5's first release since "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, which spent seven weeks at the top of the Hot 100 beginning last September.

According to Neilsen Music, "Memories" debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, logging sales of 27,000 downloads in the week ending September 26.

The track drew 9.7 million U.S. streams and 19.6 million in all-format radio reach to surge 20-14 and 37-25 on Adult Pop Songs airplay chart and Pop Songs list, respectively.

Maroon 5 now has five Digital Song Sales No. 1s, tying The Black Eyed Peas for the most among duos/groups. Taylor Swift stays on top with 18 No. 1s.

The band's frontman Adam Levine and production duo The Monsters & Strangerz co-produced "Memories." Levine, Michael Pollock, Jon Bellion, Jordan K. Johnson, Stefan Johnson and JKash wrote the song.
