The Doors' guitarist Robby Krieger and actor Dennis Quaid teamed up for an episode of the AXS TV series "Mixtape" on Thursday.

Krieger and Quaid spent time discussing their favorite songs, including Elvis Presley's "Don't Be Cruel," and how some songs influenced their lives and shaped their careers.

"'Don't Be Cruel' was like the first Elvis song that got to me. You know, it was rock 'n' roll, but it was nice too. It was like a love song," explained Krieger.

Quaid added, "Yeah, but it bounced. It made me bounce."

The duo gave an acoustic performance of the song as well.

Quaid, known for his roles in movies like The Rookie, Innerspace and Great Balls of Fire, regularly covers The Doors' songs with his band Dennis Quaid and the Sharks.
