Edinburgh Investment Trust Posts HY Loss

Edinburgh Investment Trust Plc. (EDIN.L) reported that its net loss for the six months to 30 September 2019 was 52.93 million or 27.4 pence per basic share, compared to return on ordinary activities after taxation of 116.23 million or 59.4 pence per basic share in the prior year.

Total income for the period grew to 37.16 million pounds from 34.82 million in the previous year.

Edinburgh Investment Trust also said that it has entered into heads of terms to appoint Majedie Asset Management as the Company's new AIFM.

The company has provided notice to terminate the appointment of Invesco Fund Managers Limited as the Company's AIFM, company secretary and administrator. Majedie's appointment as AIFM is expected to become effective in the first-half of 2020.
