A star studded lineup featuring the surviving members of Nirvana performed at the Art of Elysium's 13th annual Heaven gala at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium on Saturday.

Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear shared the stage for the first time since 2018 as part of "Dave Grohl & Friends."

The performance also included Beck, St. Vincent and Grohl's daughter Violet, who each took a turn filling in for late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

The black-tie event benefiting the non-profit Art of Elysium also featured short sets by Marilyn Manson, Cheap Trick and L7.

The Art of Elysium fosters the belief that art can be a catalyst for social change. Proceeds from the gala are utilized to support the organization's programs and services.

Ashley and Topher Grace, who met at a previous Heaven gala, were honored with the 2020 Spirit of Elysium award.
