Country star Maren Morris recently celebrated the 7th anniversary of her move to Nashville, Tennessee.

The 29-year-old singer shared a throwback picture of herself as a 22-year-old up-and-coming songstress who had just moved to a new city.

"7 years ago today, I had short hair, some okay (alright, crap) demos in my pocket and moved into a Craigslist house sight unseen for $350 a month," she wrote alongside the picture.

"I wrote with anyone + everyone who'd sit in a room with me. I got better, and I found my tribe of people I loved to create with and we'd geek out over The Cardigans and Sheryl Crow records," Morris continued, sharing a second picture of herself at the 2016 Country Music Association Awards, where she won the Award for New Artist of the Year.

She also bagged the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance for her song, "My Church," taken from her 2016 debut album, Hero.

"Looking at the gap between these photos, I actually do know where the time goes. It gets encapsulated in each fantastic, mundane, life-changing, soul-crushing, mediocre, hallelujah song in my catalogue. Cheers to 7 years, Nashville, and to the friends here I now am lucky to call family," Morris added.

Morris' most recent album, Girl, was released in March of 2019.
