Mondi Plc CEO Peter Oswald To Step Down - Quick Facts

Mondi plc (MNDI.L) said Group Chief Executive Officer Peter Oswald has agreed to step down as CEO and from the board. He will leave the Group on 31 March 2020. Andrew King, CFO, has agreed to take on the role of Interim CEO. Mondi's Nominations Committee will now begin the process of searching for a successor for the CEO role.

Peter Oswald said: "While I am sad to be leaving, I know the Group is in the hands of a strong Board and an experienced senior management team that will ensure its continued success."

Shares of Deutsche Telekom AG were gaining around 4 percent in the morning trading after the German telecom giant reported Wednesday a profit in its fourth quarter, compared to last year's loss. The company also projects higher results in fiscal 2020. For the new year, Deutsche Telekom expects another increase in revenue from fiscal 2019 revenue of 80.5 billion euros. Boeing Co., which is struggling to relaunch its grounded 737 MAX jets to service, has been hit with a new potential safety concern. The planemaker found debris in the fuel tanks of several undelivered 737 MAX jetliners, multiple reports said citing an internal memo. The Foreign Object Debris were found during maintenance work on an undisclosed number of jets parked at various facilities. Tesla has been ordered to stop work at the site of its proposed $4-billion Gigafactory in the German state of Brandenburg due to environmental concerns, according to reports. The proposed factory was going to be Tesla's first Gigafactory in Europe and its fourth in the world. On Saturday, a German court reportedly ordered the company to stop cutting down trees on the 300-hectare site.
