Sammy Hagar and Rick Springfield are among the artists who will be performing at a star-studded Eddie Money tribute concert to be held at the Saban Theatre in Beverley Hills on February 20.

George Thorogood, John Waite and Mickey Thomas will also perform at the special concert to be hosted by comedian Louie Anderson. The proceeds from the event will benefit MusiCares and the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund.

"Eddie's family and friends [will] gather to pay tribute to a life well-lived and a talent unsurpassed," promoters of the concert said in a statement. "Throughout his illustrious career, Eddie Money sold over 28 million records worldwide. His trademark raspy husky voice was easily recognized around the world.

They added, "But perhaps even more important than Eddie Money's musical legacy is his reputation as a hard-working good guy who always remembered and made time for family, friends, fans and those who lent him a hand along the road to stardom. Truly a gentleman for the ages!"

Money died at the age of 70 in September 2019 after battling esophageal cancer. The cancer started in Money's esophagus but soon spread to other parts of his body.

"I thought I was going in for a check-up and [the doctor] told me I have cancer," Money said while revealing his diagnosis one month before passing. "We found out that I had cancer and that it was stage four and that it was in my liver and my lymph nodes and a little bit in my stomach… It hit me really, really hard."

In a career spanning over four decades, Money established himself as one of rock's most beloved entertainers. His hits include "Two Tickets To Paradise," "Take Me Home Tonight," "Shakin'," "Think I'm In Love," "Baby Hold On," and many more.
