Selena Gomez' 'Rare' Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200

Selena Gomez' new album, Rare, has debuted atop the Billboard 200, earning the pop star her third straight No. 1 on the chart.

According to Nielsen Music, Rare opened with 112,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending January 16.

Rare, which released on January 10 via Interscope Records, follows Gomez' previous No. 1 albums, Revival in 2015 and Stars Dance in 2013.

Billboard noted Rare's debut was not enhanced by album sales generated from a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer but did get an assist from sales of many merchandise/album bundles sold via Gomez's website.

Roddy Ricch's Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial dipped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while Moneybagg Yo's new Time Served debuted at No. 3.
