South Africa Private Sector Credit Growth Eases For Second Month

South Africa's private sector credit grew at a slower pace for the second straight month in December, data from South African Reserve Bank showed on Thursday.

Claims on the domestic private sector grew 6.14 percent year-on-year in December, slower than the 6.60 percent increase seen in November.

The monetary aggregate M3 growth eased to 6.19 percent annually in December from 7.35 percent in the previous month.

Likewise, the narrow measure, M1 growth slowed to 2.95 percent from 4.02 percent in the prior month.
