Country crooner LeAnn Rimes has released a hauntingly beautiful cover of pop star Selena Gomez's 2019 hit "Lose You to Love Me."

The cover was featured as a part of Rimes' brand-new weekly "LovE Sessions," in which she plans to release a cover of one of her favorite love songs every Friday.

The song was recorded in Rimes' Los Angeles home, with her friend and creative partner Darrell Brown playing the piano and husband Eddie Cibrian behind the camera. It received an exclusive premiere on Billboard.

"'Lose You to Love Me' is such a beautifully written, honest portrayal of a woman putting her heart first and the drastic process in which one sometimes has to go through in order to heal from a broken heart," Rimes shared with Billboard.

She described the new series as entirely "raw and real and sometimes completely off the cuff." Rimes added that it is likely that they will go live from "the legendary Gruene Hall," where she is playing a show this Valentine's Day weekend.

The singer also shared with her Instagram followers news about her brand-new line of candles, dubbed "LovE, Set Me Free."

The product is "an experience, intended to invoke emotion and connection," she wrote alongside a video of herself chanting over the drying candles.

"With that intent, I have encoded my voice, intention and LovE for you into molten wax. When lit, this releases into the very air you breathe," she added.

Her most recent album, Remnants, was released in 2016 and is yet to receive a follow-up record. Busy though she may be, Rimes has confirmed that new music is on the way!

"This next round of music for me is super intentional when it comes to what I want to put out into the world and the message and sound I want to contribute to the collective consciousness, so I am taking my time as I experiment with new ways of creating," she said to Billboard.
