BWXT Awarded $1 Bln Contract For Naval Nuclear Reactor Components

BWX Technologies Inc. (BWXT) said Monday that the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program has awarded subsidiary BWXT Nuclear Operations Group Inc. new contracts with options totaling about $1 billion for the manufacture of naval nuclear reactor components.

The award announced is in addition to the submarine reactor component
and fuel manufacturing and long-lead materials contracts announced last year.

Ford Motor Co. announced a recall of around 68,000 vehicles citing issues with transmission. The recall involves 2020 Ford Ranger and 2020 F-150 vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as 2020 Expedition vehicles with the police package and 10-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the vehicles equipped with a rotary gearshift dial are not affected in the recall. As per multiple reports citing an e-mail sent to all employees by North American HR Valerie Capers, the luxury electric car maker is taking certain actions starting April 13, aiming to manage costs.
