Norway Jobless Rate Steady In December

Norway's jobless rate remained stable in December, the labor force survey data from Statistics Norway showed on Wednesday.

The jobless rate was 3.9 percent in December same as seen in the three months to September. Economists had expected a rate of 4.0 percent.

The unemployment rate for December indicates the average for November to January and that for September reflects the average for August to October.

The unemployment rate was 4.0 percent in November.

The number of unemployed persons was 110,000 in December, same as seen in September.
