U2 frontman Bono, the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Yoshiki have all teamed up on a new song celebrating creative collaboration despite the social distancing forced by the coronavirus outbreak.

The track originated as a song Bono debuted during a livestream last week, which he dedicated to the Italian people singing from balconies and rooftops while under quarantine.

Will.i.am, Hudson and Yoshiki subsequently added to the song, tentatively titled "Let Your Love Be Known," and the collaboration has now been posted under the title "Sing For Life."

"This song was created to bring JOY," will.i.am said of the track on YouTube. "In times like these, creative people must continue to collaborate."

"Whether you are a computer scientist, an engineer, a Therapist or a Teacher, just because we are self-isolating or in quarantine doesn't mean you are alone," he added. "The beauty of international connectivity is that nobody is alone on the internet!"
