5 Seconds of Summer recently released a psychedelic video for "Wildflower," a song from the band's fourth album, CALM.

The band brings a colorful version to life from inside their homes through the awesome "Wildflower" video, directed by Andy DeLuca. Sarah Eiseman was the assistant director.

After the band members filmed themselves in front of a green screen from their respective homes, DeLuca and Eiseman reportedly filled the footage with animations and lo-fi effects such as little plants sprouting up from Calum Hood's bass and a waterfall pouring out of Ashton Irwin's armpit. The visual also features a cameo by Luke Hemming's pet dog.

"Everyone filmed their parts at home with an iPhone and later sent the footage over to me. We quickly learned animation and drew up several blooming flowers, and also created the trippy colored backgrounds using milk and food dye," DeLuca said.

He added, "I then spent the next couple of days/nights editing nonstop until my eyes bled and the video was completed. It definitely has pushed us to create something we normally wouldn't, using only our brains and our hands."

"You're the only one who makes me / Every time we / I'll tell you what I like / My wildflower / You know you are my favorite fantasy / A fatal love song," the band sing in chorus, with hypnotic colors swirling around them.

"Wildflower was the wildcard of the album," bassist Calum Hood said in a statement. "A song that has opened new avenues for this band to explore. Most importantly it just feels good to listen to and disconnect for a minute. We really feel this video reflects that too and hope you all enjoy!"

CALM, which is a follow-up to the band's Youngblood, features other singles "Teeth," "Easier," "Old Me," and "No Shame," in addition to "Wildflower."
