Pets At Home FY Pretax Profit Rises; LFL Revenue Up 9.0% - Quick Facts

Pets At Home Group Plc (PETS.L) reported pretax profit of 85.9 million pounds for the 52 week period ended 26 March 2020 compared to 49.6 million pounds, prior year. Earnings per share was 13.2 pence compared to 6.0 pence. Excluding the impact of IFRS 16, underlying pre-tax profit was 99.5 million pounds compared to 89.7 million pounds. Underlying basic earnings per share, excluding the impact of IFRS 16, was 16.0 pence compared to 14.1 pence.

Fiscal year revenue improved to 1.06 billion pounds from 961.0 million pounds, last year. Retail like-for-like revenue growth was 9.4%, for the period.

The Board has recommended a final dividend of 5.0 pence per share, which takes the total dividend for the year to 7.5 pence per share, equal with the prior year. The final dividend will be payable on 14 July 2020 to shareholders on the register at the close of trading on 19 June 2020.
