An upcoming online auction to be held by the MusiCares Foundation in partnership with Julien's Auctions on September 9 to benefit the MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund has already attracted donations from scores of celebrities. The auction will take place in Beverly Hills, California, as well.

Among the stars who are contributing rare items for the auction are Billie Eilish, Robert Plant, Willie Nelson and Cher.

The Killers' Brandon Flowers, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Barbra Streisand, Depeche Mode, Hans Zimmer, Blake Shelton and several other stars will also be donating "one-of-a-kind" items to the auction.

"Love the guitar been practising in my bedroom for 55 yrs..," Plant tweeted of the instrument he contributed.

"In this new world of social distancing and isolation, music and the arts has brought us together and given us hope and salvation from the despair and loss that we've all felt these last months," reads a statement from Julien's Auctions president Darren Julien.

He added, "We thank Bill Wyman for his generous offering and are calling on all artists from film, music, sports, fashion and more to look into their closets and archives and donate an iconic item or two to this urgent initiative."

MusiCares and the Recording Academy set up the COVID-19 Relief Fund in March to lend support to music industry members in need of financial assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.
