JD Wetherspoon Issues Update On COVID-19 - Quick Facts

JD Wetherspoon plc (JDW.L) said the company's pubs in England are due to reopen on 4 July 2020, in line with the government's guidance. The company does not currently intend to start any new pub development projects in the next 12 months.

JD Wetherspoon also presented the results of a survey it carried out among its employees. Based on these responses, 79 have tested positive for Covid-19, of which 74 have said they have recovered. Two members of staff died at the end of April, having tested positive for Covid-19.

Also, the company said a group of its lending banks has approved 48.3 million pounds loan through the Coronavirus Large Business Interruption scheme.
