Wizz Air June Traffic, Load Factor Drop Sharply - Quick Facts

Low-cost airline Wizz Air Holdings Plc (WIZZ.L) Thursday reported that its passenger traffic in the month of June fell 86.1 percent to 502,253 booked passengers from last year's 3.61 million. The company operated 25 percent of its capacity in the month following COVID-19 pandemic.

Capacity was reduced by 74.7 percent to 961,797 seats from 3.80 million seats a year ago.

Load factor decreased 42.8 percentage points to 52.2 percent from 95 percent last year.

For the month, revenue passenger kilometres were down 86.3 percent year-on-year to 802.15 million. Available Seat Kilometres were down 75.4 percent to 1.52 billion.

At 94.1 grams, CO2 emissions in grams per passenger/km for the month of June were 64.3 percent higher than the prior year.
