Manitowoc Names Aaron Ravenscroft President & CEO - Quick Facts

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (MTW) announced that Aaron Ravenscroft, currently Executive Vice President of Cranes, has been appointed President and CEO, and a member of the Board, effective immediately. He succeeds Barry Pennypacker, who is stepping down as part of the leadership transition plan. Pennypacker will continue to serve in an advisory role through December 31, 2020.

Ravenscroft joined Manitowoc in March 2016, and has been responsible for the company's Cranes business globally, including Mobile and Tower cranes.

MWE Investments is recalling dual fuel portable generators citing fire risk, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall involves about 7,500 units of Westinghouse WGen5300DFv Dual Fuel Portable Generators and Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel Inverter Portable Generators. According to the agency, the dual fuel portable generators can leak fuel. Apple Inc. U.S. retail sales continued to recover from the coronavirus pandemic in August, showing a slight improvement from July and larger gains than last year, the National Retail Federation or NRF said. However, the pace of growth slowed from July. The NRF said in a statement that August retail sales edged up 0.1 percent seasonally adjusted from July and rose 5.6 percent unadjusted year-over-year.
