Taylor Swift has earned her first appearance on Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart, with her song "Exile" ranking 37th on the list dated August 15.
"Exile," featuring Bon Iver, is a song from Swift's latest album, Folklore, which currently sits atop the Billboard 200 chart.
Although the superstar has had 36 titles on the Country Airplay chart, 33 entries onto the Pop Songs airplay ranking, 32 entries on Adult Pop Songs and 31 titles on Adult Contemporary chart, this is the first time that a Swift song finds a place on a Billboard rock radio chart.
For Bon Iver this is also his maiden entry on a Billboard airplay chart.
"Exile" was produced by The National's Aaron Dessner.
WAPS Akron program director Brad Savage spoke to Billboard about the Swift-Iver collaboration.
"It is fun to think our audience is more aware of what Bon Iver sounds like than Taylor Swift. In some ways, it is like he's saying, 'It's OK, guys, she's with me!,' to those who might be skeptical of her pop or country background," Savage said.
He added, "In fact, Lightning 100 [WRLT Nashville] recently got a tweet from a listener saying that exact phrase; I can't take credit for it myself!"
