Senior Plc Unit Awarded Production Contract By Daimler Truck In Germany

Senior plc (SNR.L) said its Flexonics unit in Germany has been awarded a contract by Daimler Truck AG to manufacture and supply Exhaust Gas Recirculation Bellows and Exhaust Manifolds for their Heavy-Duty Engine Platform. The production contract award follows on from a three-year collaborative design phase, with ramp up to full production by 2022.

Senior Flexonics GmbH located in Kassel, Germany, specializes in the design and manufacture of metal hoses, expansion joints and metal bellows used in a wide variety of applications and industries.

Google parent Alphabet decided to drop its Internet balloon project Loon that was launched with the idea of providing Internet access to rural areas and providing last mile connectivity. In a blog post, Loon CEO Alastair Westgarth said they have not found a way to get the costs low enough to build a long-term, sustainable business, despite gaining a number of interested partners along the way. American Airlines announced the launch of Flagship Cellars, its home delivery service for premium wines usually available onboard. The airline's move is said to be due to the excess wine it has amid the weakness in air travel demand following the coronavirus pandemic crisis. The company expects the new at-home wine program to generate about $40,000 to $50,000 in sales during the first quarter. Intel Corp. is planning to manufacture majority of its 2023 products internally, while it may outsource some, according to the incoming Chief Executive Officer Pat Gelsinger. At the fourth-quarter earnings webcast, while talking about 7nm program development, Gelsinger said, "I am confident that the majority of our 2023 products will be manufactured internally...."
