Metallica have announced that they have scheduled a special live acoustic concert to raise funds for their charitable foundation, All Within My Hands.

The band said that their Helping Hands Concert & Auction will take place on November 14 and that it would be their first-ever worldwide pay-per-view event.

Metallica's statement on their website says that the concert will be available to stream for 48 hours from the start of the stream.

Metallica are also lining up some incredible auction items and experiences ahead of the show for fans. The group says it will donate all the money raised to its foundation, which helps feed people in need, provides education and other critical services on a local level.

The concert was originally scheduled to take place on March 28 at the Masonic in San Francisco but was pushed back to September 12 before the coronavirus pandemic caused it to be postponed again.

The All Within My Hands foundation has donated about $645,000 to Covid-19 related relief funds, including Feeding America, Direct Relief, and several other charities supporting out of work people in the entertainment and hospitality industries.

The foundation has also donated $350,000 towards helping those affected by wildfires on the West Coast and a $1.5 million grant to 15 community colleges around the U.S.
