Homeserve H1 Adj. Pretax Profit Rises; Revenue Up 17% - Quick Facts

HomeServe plc (HSV.L) reported pretax profit of 10.1 million pounds for the six months ended 30 September 2020 compared to 19.7 million pounds, previous year. Earnings per share was 2.0 pence compared to 5.0 pence. Adjusted profit before tax increased to 33.1 million pounds from 28.6 million pounds. Adjusted earnings per share was 7.1 pence compared to 6.4 pence.

First half revenue was 536.7 million pounds, an increase of 17 percent from prior year. The revenue growth was driven by strong growth in North America and the inclusion of revenue from eLocal.

HomeServe now expects to grow in the year and deliver Group PBTA for fiscal 2021 slightly ahead of current consensus earnings estimates.

The interim dividend of 6.2 pence per share, an increase of 7%, will be paid on 8 January 2021 to shareholders on the register on 11 December 2020.
