Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber dropped their collaboration "Monster" on Friday (November 20). The song, which details the pitfalls of superstardom, is the second single off Mendes's upcoming album, Wonder, due out on December 4.

The singers had recently released a teaser and some artwork for the track on their respective Instagram pages. Bieber had also shared a viral clip that features him asking "Who is Shawn Mendes?" during a radio interview.

"#MONSTER Nov 20th @shawnmendes," Bieber captioned his post, while Mendes echoed him on his own account, and added, "next single from #WONDER."

The song begins with Mendis crooning, "You put me on a pedestal and tell me I'm the best / Raise me up to the sky until I'm out of breath / Fill me up with confidence, I say what's in my chest / Spill my words and tear me down until there's nothing left / Rearrange the pieces just to fit me with the rest, yeah."

Beiber joins in, singing, "I was 15 when the world put me on a pedestal / I had big dreams shows and making memories / Made some bad moves trying to act cool, upset by their jealously / Lifting me up (Lifting me up), lifting me up (Yeah)."

The video shows the two climbing atop an actual pedestal during a thunderstorm, standing both back-to-back and swaying apart while singing "Please don't let me fall." They are seen staying safe up there till the end of the clip.
