Rage Against The Machine have released a mini-documentary that details the history of racism in America.

Titled "Killing In Thy Name," the 15-minute film piece was created in collaboration with The Ummah Chroma, an international artists' collective, which translates to "community of color," and is soundtracked by the band's 1991 classic "Killing In The Name."

Described as "a fire escape from the fiction known as whiteness and a spring for discovery," the film intersperses archival interview footage of the band members with snippets from a teacher's lecture on the subject of the racial history of the country.

"Living in the States, you're living in one of the most brutal societies in the history of the world," shared frontman Zack de la Rocha. "The country who inherited the genocide of the Native American people. A country which participated in slavery."
