Bank Of Hawaii Q4 Profit Down - Quick Facts

Bank of Hawaii Corp. (BOH) reported that its net income for the fourth quarter of 2020 was $42.3 million or $1.06 per share down from $58.1 million or $1.45 per share in the same quarter in 2019. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.11 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income, on a taxable-equivalent basis, for the fourth quarter was $119.8 million, down $4.4 million from net interest income of $124.2 million in the prior year.

Total noninterest income declined to $45.26 million from $47.70 million last year.

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Creminelli Fine Meats is recalling around 4,207 pounds of ready-to-eat or RTE parmesan salami sticks citing misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service or FSIS announced. The rule titled, "Nonprescription Drug Product with an Additional Condition for Nonprescription Use," is intended to increase options for the development of safe and effective nonprescription drugs. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Australian organic infant formula and baby food producer, Bellamy's Organic, has agreed to send around 696,000 cans of general formula milk to the United States to meet the supply shortage. Under the FDA's enforcement discretion to source more infant formula to the U.S., the available Bellamy's Organic products include about 1.4 million pounds.
