Hayley Williams dropped her sophomore solo album FLOWERS for VASES / descansos on Friday, February 5.

The 14-track FLOWERS for VASES / descansos was produced by Daniel James, mixed by Carlos de la Garza, and mastered by Heba Kadry. The album was recorded at Williams' home in Nashville.

In a statement, Williams said, "This isn't really a follow-up to Petals for Armor. If anything, it's a prequel, or some sort of detour between parts 1 and 2 of Petals. The meaning of the album as a whole is maybe entirely different from diving into each song in particular."

"For me, there's no better way to tackle these individual subjects other than holistically. The ways I've been given time (forcibly, really) to stew on certain pains long enough to understand that they in fact, need to be released… indefinitely," she added.

As part of the album's promotion, Williams had leaked the track "My Limb" to a superfan earlier this month.

The Paramore frontwoman's first solo album was 2020's Petals for Armor, which earned a Top 20 entry on the Billboard 200 chart.
