The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" has set a new chart record by spending 260 weeks, or five whole years, on the U.K.'s Top 100 chart.

According to the Official Chart Company, "Mr. Brightside" is streamed 1.2 million times a week on average. It has sold 3.52 million copies since it was first released in 2003.

Meanwhile, "Mr. Brightside" has never topped the singles chart, peaking at No. 10. However, "Mr. Brightside" has legs that no other song can boast, with the second-longest-running track on the chart being Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" with 166 weeks. Ed Sheeran's 2017 release "Perfect" is in third place with 165 weeks.

"Mr. Brightside" featured on the band's hit debut album Hot Fuss, which also featured other hits like "Somebody Told Me," "All These Things That I've Done" and "Smile Like You Mean It."
