HELLA 9-month Adj. EBIT Rises - Quick Facts

German automotive parts supplier HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA (HLKHF) reported that its adjusted earnings before interest and taxes for the first nine months of fiscal year 2020/2021 rose 10.1 percent to 373 million euros from the prior year's 339 million euros.

Earnings before interest and taxes or EBIT for the period was 312 million euros, unchanged from last year.

Currency and portfolio-adjusted sales for the period declined slightly by 0.3 percent to 4.74 billion euros from 4.76 billion euros in the previous year.

Reported sales were 4.65 billion euros down 4.2% from 4.85 billion euros in the previous year.

The company said its outlook for the current fiscal year 2020/2021 remains in line with the forecast raised on 7 December 2020. HELLA is assuming that currency and portfolio-adjusted consolidated sales will be in the upper half of the given forecast range of 6.1 billion euros to 6.6 billion euros.

With regard to the EBIT margin adjusted for restructuring measures and portfolio effects, the company anticipates a value in the upper half of the forecast range of 6.0 percent to 8.0 percent.
