A new video shared by Mick Fleetwood & Friends ahead of the upcoming release of Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green tribute concert film shows Pink Floyd's David Gilmour performing Fleetwood Mac's "Albatross" at the event.

The all-star tribute concert, dubbed "Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate Peter Green and the Early Music of Fleetwood Mac," took place at the London Palladium on February 25 last year. Green passed away in July.

Gilmour's participation was a long time in the making, according to Mick Fleetwood, who said the guitarist initially had "cold feet" and took a year and a half to agree to doing the show.

"I didn't know him very well," Fleetwood told Rolling Stone.
"But I knew he was connected to Peter Green's music. … Two years before this event happened, it suddenly dawned on me that I was going to cold-call him and say, 'Would you do it?'"

Gilmour had "so much reverence for Peter Green's playing and who Peter was and the songs," Fleetwood noted.

Fleetwood Mac originally released "Albatross" as a single in 1968 and then included it on their 1969 album The Pious Bird of Good Omen.
