Evraz Group Q1 Crude Steel Production Down 4.2% YoY

Evraz Group (EVR.IL) reported that its first quarter consolidated crude steel output declined 4.2% year-on-year. Total sales of steel products were down 4.8%, for the quarter.

For the first quarter, total raw coking coal production climbed by 14.1% from prior year. Coking coal concentrate production increased 13.1%.

For the quarter, external sales of iron ore products were down 12.4%. External sales of vanadium products rose by 6.6%.

In second quarter of 2021, the company expects steel production to remain flat QoQ amid a planned maintenance outage at EVRAZ Regina.
