Turkey Jobless Rate Falls In March

Turkey's jobless rate decreased in March, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed on Monday.

On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate fell to 13.1 percent in March from 14.1 percent in February.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased marginally to 13.1 percent in March from 13.0 percent in the same month last year. In February, unemployment rate was 13.2 percent.

The number of unemployed persons rose to 4.236 million in March from 3.953 million in the same month last year.

The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 15 to 24 age group, was 25.0 percent in March.
