Dua Lipa will make her acting debut in Mathew Vaughn's star-studded spy thriller Argylle.

Argylle will be the first in a new three-film franchise series to be produced by Vaughn's U.K.-based studio MARV.

The film's shooting is set to begin in Europe next month and then moved to various other locations around the world.

Lipa, who will also provide original music for the title track and score, will be joined by Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson in the cast.

Argylle's script is written by Jason Fuchs.

Speaking about the project, Vaughn said, "When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming's books of the 50s. This is going to reinvent the spy genre."
