DMG Mori H1 Profit Rises; Lifts FY Outlook - Quick Facts

DMG Mori (MRSKY), a German manufacturer of cutting machine tools, reported that its earnings attributable to the shareholders for the first-half of 2021 rose to 27.4 million euros from 22.7 million euros in the same period last year.

EBIT amounted to 42.2 million euros up from 33.2 million euros in the prior year.

Sales revenues increased to 933.5 million euros from 838.0 million euros last year.

Order intake rose by 59% year-over-year to 1.25 billion euros.

The company once again raised its forecast for 2021: For the full year, the company now plans order intake of around 2.25 billion euros compared the prior outlook of about 2.0 billion euros.

Annual sales revenues are now expected to be around 1.95 billion euros compared to the prior outlook of about 1.8 billion euros.

The company currently estimates EBIT of around 100 million euros, compared to the prior estimation of 60 million euros.

Drug major Pfizer has again expanded the earlier two recalls of its anti-smoking Drug Chantix (Varenicline) in the form of tablets, to now include all the lots, for the potential presence of nitrosamine impurity, N-Nitroso- varenicline, at or above the FDA interim acceptable intake limit (ADI), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or FDA said in a statement.
